And Still Another Travel Flash Sales Site: TripAlertz

When will this madness end? I know maybe 5 or 6 of these travel flash sites now, how many more can there be?

Anyway, back to TripAlertz. It’s a good looking site, and they have both luxury resorts and moderately priced digs like Embassy Suites. Oh, and their current top deal is a flight to space, so that’s pretty awesome!

Are TripAlertz Deals Good or Bad?

We reviewed LivingSocial Escapes the other day, but here’s a new player in the daily deal/flash deals market: TripAlertz. TripAlertz offers deals at 20-40% off, with the exciting part being that the more people that buy, the lower the price goes. Currently they off a 3 night stay at the Royal Plaza Orlando for $432, a 17% savings on the $519 “public price”. If 50 people buy the deal, the price goes to $360, a 31% savings. Let’s check those numbers!

Royal Plaza website: $502+
Hotels.com: $466+
Travelocity: $1064+

It’s not clear with TripAlertz if taxes and fees are covered in their prices, but they do include some nice bonuses (included upgrade to a Tower room, plus daily breakfast for two). All in all it appears to be a good deal, possibly a great deal if the price goes to $360. Just be sure to read the fine print on all the deals – this one, for example, is only good on hotel stays in January and February.
