There’s so much to love about the wireless Belkin Travel Router. First of all, the Belkin wireless router makes it easy to have fast, wireless internet on the road. Hook it up to your hotel internet and the Belkin router turns your hotel room, conference room, or the hotel lobby into a wireless hotspot. Not only does it make traveling with multiple internet users easier, if you only have one computer it makes it easier, too. It’s really a must-have travel gadget.
Available at:
$79 at Belkin.com
$69 at Amazon

You know the feeling: You show up at the expensive resort expecting to be awed by the serenity of the waves and the solitude pictured on their website, but instead you’re met by the sounds of the busy nearby freeway, low flying airplanes, and the next door speedboat terminal. You’re the victim of a photo fakeout.
For example, Sofitel L.A. See if you can spot the different between these two photos:

This is the photo from Sofitel's website

This is a photo taken by a traveller
If you don’t look closely, you can’t see the minor difference. I’ll give you a hint: It’s 40,000 square feet, 3 stories, and doesn’t rhyme with “Nordstrom”.
Hotel booker Oyster.com collects and posts great examples of photo fakeouts on their site, and while they’re good for a laugh, it’s probably not a laughing matter when it happens to you!

I have a door stop alarm similar to this, and it works great. The piece of mind I get from having one of these is immeasurable. With all the creaks, knocks and bangs I hear in hotels, to know that I can rest easy helps me sleep great!
