Has Southwest Vacations finally joined the flash travel sales parade? Yes, they have. They offer two sets of travel flash sales every week, each group being live for 48 hours. The first set goes live on mondays, the second set on wednesdays. And the deals are actually pretty good!

At sometime today, Groupon will open up the sale of its latest high-end deal. Dubbed the Jet Set Adventure, for $10,000 you get a pair of Economy Class around the world airline tickets – or for $20,000 you can upgrade that to Business Class. It appears as though Groupon is only selling one of these deals, so keep checking, I guess.

We’ve updated our Flash Travel Sales page with two new websites – European flash sales site Travesse and family deals site Totsy. Travesse is the more interesting of the two, with great deals on luxury vacations in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. They don’t seem to offer any deals in the U.S., but if you want to travel to Egypt, now is your time!

I thought I should point this deal out, as it ends tonight at midnight. On Groupon Getaways, there’s a Southwest Airlines deal: Pay $10 for a $40 credit toward airfare on Southwest Airlines between Portland and Las Vegas. It’s a strangely specific deal, what with it being only between two cities on one airline. But if you’re near the Portland area and want to get your gambling fix on, it’s a pretty sweet deal. Instead of, say, $150 round-trip it’d be more like $120 round-trip, which is a good savings. Hopefully we’ll see more deals like this – I find them to be a lot more interesting than half-price resorts in South Beach or Barbados.
The deal ends tonight (Oct. 17) at midnight PST, so act fast. View the deal on Groupon

We’ve got one new addition to the flash travel sales page, and one new promotion. First the new addition: SpaRahRah from SpaFinder. Offering national travel deals and local spa deals courtesy of SpaFinder, SpaRahRah deals are all at fancy resorts in great locations, and the prices aren’t that bad. $499 for a spa escape for two in New England? Nice.
The promotion is from TripAlertz – for a limited time, every person you invite to TripAlertz that signs up gets you $10 in trip cash. They don’t need to buy any travel, they just need to sign up! What I really like about TripAlertz is that they are currently selling a trip to space, for the rock bottom price of $90,000. So, if I get 9,000 people to sign up for TripAlertz, I can afford to go to space! Go sign up at TripAlertz – if not for great travel deals for you, do it for me!

This week Jetsetter launched a new feature to go along with their high-end vacation and resort deals: Jetsetter Homes. Now, in addition to world renowned spas and resorts, you can rent some amazing private home across the globe.
This isn’t VRBO.com. Among their current rental options, they offer Bajacu in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Bajacu is an extremely private 9,500 sq. ft. retreat set on an 11-acre hilltop estate. Bajacu is wrapped by two giant infinity pools that almost function like moats, but you don’t have to worry about being trapped – they live-in housekeeping staff takes care of everything. But for prices starting at $3,900 per night, what do you expect? If that price is a little out of your league, you can also try Il Frantoio in Tuscany. Set on a private 45-acre estate, this 4 bedroom 4 bath 4,250 sq. ft. residence goes for about $1,600 per night and up.
The point is, these are ultra-luxury homes, almost to the point of being absurd. But if you have the money, why not, right?

We’ve added three more sites to the Flash Travel Sales page, bringing the grand total to… 30! How many more are out there? The new sites we’ve added are Half Off Depot, Hotels.com, and KGB Deals. Half Off Depot and KGB Deals are typical daily deals sites, while the well-known Hotels.com has recently added a daily deals section to their site, offering 50% off a few hotels every day.
Check them all out at our Flash Travel Sales page!

We had such an overwhelming response to our flash travel deals roundup last week, we decided to code up a page listing all the flash travel deals we know of, and place it permanently on the site.
Check out the Neotravel Flash Travel Sales page!
We list 27 different flash travel sales websites, from Groupon Getaways to Overstock Vacations to SniqueAway, and everybody else involved (that we know of, at least). We even list a few of their recent travel deals so you can get a feel for what they offer.
Check out the page, and let us know if there are any sites we’ve missed. We’re interested not only in exclusively travel-related flash sales sites, but sites that are dabbling, too.
Thanks! Oh, and please “Like” the page on Facebook, give us a Google +1, save the page on your favorite bookmarking service, and all that! We appreciate the support!

The last time I posted about travel flash deals, I made the comment that the travel flash deals niche was exploding. Well, that explosion hasn’t slowed down! Here are all the flash travel sites that we’ve found – and there are a lot:
Off and Away
SniqueAway
Spire
Jetsetter
Tablet Hotels
TripAlertz
Vacationist
Voyage Prive
Yuupon
Itinerie
Plus, most of the major travel consolidators now have a flash deals sale section:
Travelocity Dashing Deal
Orbitz Insider Steals
Groupon Getaways with Expedia
Priceline Local Deals
TravelZoo Local Deals
Don’t forget about the daily deals websites that have travel sections:
LivingSocial Escapes
BuyWithMe Travel
HauteLook Getaways
ideeli Travel
Rue lala
Saveology
aDealio
EverSave Travel Saves
And lastly, there’s the major ecommerce players that have added local/travel deals:
Amazon Local (Seattle area only)
Overstock Vacations
It’s a crazy list, isn’t it? Twenty-one flash travel deals websites, and I can guarantee that I missed some. Oh and full disclosure: On most of these websites I linked to the site using my referral url. That means that you may or may not get a small bonus for signing up, and I may or may not get a small bonus if you sign up. Every site is different – at least in this respect.
